Joe Allen has revealed the feeling he had after scoring the penalty that sent Liverpool into the Capital One Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.Reds goalkeeper Simon Mignolet kept out Stoke City's Marc Muniesa from 12 yards to give his side the advantage, and Welshman Allen netted what was the 14th spot-kick of the shoot-out.
That confirmed Liverpool's place in their 12th League Cup Final, which is more than any other club, and Allen was left delighted.

“It means so much. It's an incredible feeling. We made it difficult for ourselves but, in some ways, that makes it more exciting,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.
“The atmosphere after the penalty went in was incredible and now everyone can't wait for Wembley.

“I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit nervous but I picked my spot and thankfully it hit the back of the net. Anfield went off and that's what football's all about – [it's a] great feeling.”
