Sky Bet League 1: Matchday 29 review

The Sky Bet League 1 top two, Burton Albion and Gillingham, both fell to defeats away from home on Matchday 29.

Burton were beaten 2-1 at the hands of Rochdale, while the Gills fell 1-0 to Blackpool, who are now unbeaten in four.

It meant Wigan Athletic closed the gap to them after they beat Port Vale 3-0 at the DW Stadium - the third time they’ve scored three goals at home on the bounce.

Coventry City suffered their third consecutive loss, being overturned 2-1 at home to Scunthorpe United, who’ve now recorded back-to-back victories.

Elsewhere, Barnsley secured an incredible sixth win on the spin, stealing all three points late on at Swindon Town, and Bradford City came from behind to beat Fleetwood Town 2-1.
