Sky Bet Football League: Midweek preview

16 February 2016

There are 12 games taking place across The Football League on Tuesday evening, including a huge clash at the top of the Sky Bet Championship.

Here's a look at the midweek schedule:

Tuesday 16th February

Sky Bet Championship

Blackburn Rovers v Fulham
Hull City v Brighton & Hove Albion

Sky Bet League 1

Blackpool v Oldham Athletic
Bradford City v Southend United
Bury v Sheffield United
Colchester United v Chesterfield
Millwall v Scunthorpe United
Rochdale v Crewe Alexandra

Sky Bet League 2

Accrington Stanley v Carlisle United
Hartlepool United v Notts County
Oxford United v Northampton Town
York City v Exeter City

Hull City could extend their lead at the top of the Sky Bet Championship to four points if they can overcome Brighton & Hove Albion at the KC Stadium.

Chris Hughton's side have won their last four matches and will go level on points with the league leaders if they can clinch victory and push Middlesbrough down to third who drew 0-0 with Leeds United on Monday evening.

Elsewhere, Blackburn Rovers - without a league win since 11th December 11 - take on Fulham at Ewood Park.

There is another big encounter at the business end of Sky Bet League 2 as Northampton Town make the short trip to take on Oxford United.

The Cobblers have won seven successive league games but if Oxford can win at home then they will go within six points of Chris Wilder's side with 16 games left to play.

Accrington Stanley will move into fourth place if they beat Carlisle United at the Crown Ground.

In Sky Bet League 1 there is an important game at the foot of the table with Colchester United welcoming Chesterfield to Essex.

The U's haven't won in the league since 20th October and are eight points from safety, however they will go level with 23rd-placed Oldham if they can claim victory.
