Sky Bet Championship: Matchday 30 review

6 February 2016

Bolton Wanderers climbed off the bottom of the Sky Bet Championship after a dramatic win over Rotherham United.

The game looked to be heading for a draw, but Kaiyne Woolery netted his first Trotters goal to give his side a vital victory and see the Millers slip into the relegation zone.

Charlton were the team to replace them at the foot of the division after they lost 1-0 to Bristol City, which took the Robins out of the bottom three and up to 20th.

At the other end of the table, Burnley came out on top against Hull, with Sam Vokes netting the winner. Middlesbrough couldn't take advantage of the Tigers' slip-up, being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Blackburn. Brighton are back in the mix too, after they eased to a 3-0 win over Brentford on Friday night.

Fulham and Derby shared the spoils at Craven Cottage, while Ipswich fell to a late defeat at QPR, which gave Birmingham and Sheffield Wednesday the opportunity to move into the Play-Off places. The Owls won the battle between the two, coming from behind to win thanks to a Gary Hooper brace.

Elsewhere, Cardiff versus MK Dons and Reading against Wolves both finished goalless, while there were wins for Nottingham Forest and Preston.
