Sky Bet Championship: Matchday 29 review

Charlton Athletic prevailed in the big fixture near the foot of the Sky Bet Championship, overcoming Rotherham United 3-1.

It was the Addicks’ first league win in 11 attempts, as they closed the gap to safety to just two points.

Cardiff City also earned three points in their bid to reach the Play-Offs, beating Huddersfield Town 3-2 for their second consecutive league win away from home. Peter Whitingham was central to the victory, scoring twice for the Bluebirds at the John Smith’s Stadium

In the only other Sky Bet Championship fixture, Play-Off chasing Birmingham City drew 0-0 with managerless Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
