#FM100 - Be part of an official Guinness World Record attempt

12 February 2016

Fans are being given a chance to be part of an official Guinness World Records attempt that starts at the National Football Museum in Manchester today!

Sports Interactive and the National Football Museum are looking for 100 FM fans to take part in the record for ‘Most Contributions to a Save File of Football Manager Touch 2016 ‘

Taking over AFC Wimbledon, the League 2 side sponsored by Football Manager in real life, the project will determine whether the group of 100 fans and gamers can take the Kingsmeadow side to the top of the football pyramid and how the constant managerial merry-go-round will affect the team's stability.

Where: National Football Museum - Todd Street Manchester M4 3BG GB

WHEN: Friday 12th February, 2016 – Thursday 22nd April, 2016

HOW: Book a slot now by clicking here

Featured in the museum’s ‘Pitch To Pixel: The World of Football Gaming’ exhibition, the shared ‘save’ will see each different player take over the managerial position from the previous player. Playing the FM ‘Touch’ game mode, each manager will be able to buy and sell players throughout their reign.

Every manager who plays will be part of the official Guinness World Records attempt.

In addition each manager who takes part at the Football Museum in Manchester will be given their own official cover for the Football Manager 2016 game, with their own face on the front, thanks to a unique photobooth in the Pitch To Pixel exhibition. At the end of the 100 days, one manager will even be picked at random to be honoured with their own appearance in the next edition of the game; featuring as one of the ‘new-gen’ players that will appear in Football Manager 2017.

Players can book in to play up to 7 days ahead at www.fm100.eventbrite.co.uk. By booking a place you agree to be at the National Football Museum at the allotted time and date. Each session at the museum is booked from 12pm – 1pm (although this is flexible), with a minimum of 45mins play expected.

Football Manager 2016 is an Official Licensed Product of The Football League, meaning the game gives fans the chance to take their place in the dugout and have a go at managing their favourite Football League club!
