Final Third Development League Digest

Here's a round-up of all the Final Third Development League fixtures played since Tuesday 16th February.

Final Third Development League - West

Shrewsbury Town and Burton Albion played out a 1-1 draw at the Sports Village on Tuesday afternoon with Elliot Grandin's early effort cancelled out by Marcus Dinanga before the interval.

On Wednesday, Port Vale cruised to a 7-1 triumph over Morecambe with Chris Birchall, Achille Campion and JJ Hooper among the scorers. Walsall's game against Bradford City was postponed.

Final Third Development League - South

Leyton Orient drew 0-0 with AFC Wimbledon at the Matchroom Stadium while AFC Bournemouth beat Luton Town 2-0 thanks to goals from Jon Muleba and Brandon Goodship.

Gillingham clinched maximum points against Cambridge United at Beechings Cross on Wednesday with Luke Norris on target in a 3-1 win. 

Final Third Development League - East

The games at Notts County and Grimsby Town were both postponed, leaving Rotherham United and Scunthorpe United as the only teams in action.

And the points were shared in a 1-1 draw, Jerry Yates grabbing the opener before Hakeeb Adelakun levelled for the visitors.

New Millers boss Neil Warnock watched on with new signing Jerome Thomas starting the game.
