Paul Lambert picked up his first win as Wolves manager with a 2-1 victory at Queens Park Rangers on Matchday 19.
Both of Wolves' goals came within six second-half minutes as Dave Edwards and Helder Costa found the target shortly after the hour mark, and the result ended the team's nine-match winless run.Following a scrappy start to proceedings, the hosts found themselves down to 10 men after just 36 minutes, when James Perch was shown a second yellow card.
Ian Holloway's men remained level until after half-time but the deadlock was broken on the hour mark when Edwards finished sharply into the roof of the net to score the first goal of the Lambert era at Wolves.
The lead was doubled shortly after when Costa weaved through the R's defence and found a way past the impressive Alex Smithies in goal.
With the visitors looking comfortable, the game seemed finished, but an 89th-minute strike from Joel Lynch gave QPR a glimmer of hope.
After a couple of nervy moments, Wolves eventually saw the last few minutes of action out, and the points moved them three clear of the relegation zone.
