Grimsby Town striker Omar Bogle has been named the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month for November.Scoring all but two of his side’s November goals, it was the variety of Bogle’s seven in four games which really stood out - a tap-in, a flicked header, one-on-one finishes and even a 30-yard stunner into the top corner against Crawley Town.
Grimsby Town manager, Marcus Bignot, said: “It's great for him as an individual. He's been good but he can be better. He's going in the right direction, but I want him or one of our players to win Player of the Year.”
Bogle said: “I'm absolutely buzzing. It's good to see that I've been rewarded for the work that I've done on the pitch. I'm happy to get it, obviously I was in contention another time, didn't quite make it. It's a good accolade to get in my first year in the EFL”
Sky Sports’ EFL pundit, Don Goodman, said: “Goals, goals, goals in November, and indeed this season, for Grimsby Town’s hitman Omar Bogle.
“Sixteen goals in the league so far make him the highest scoring player across England’s top four divisions and mean that Grimsby are within touching distance of a Play-Off spot and are probably far exceeding pre-season expectations.”
