Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month nominations - March

5 April 2016

The nominations for the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month award for March.

Jake Carroll (Hartlepool United)

The Irishman was part of a defence which kept four clean sheets to end March. His positional sense and confident play in possession saw him go forward to impressive effect with a headed goal against Dagenham & Redbridge and two assists.

John-Joe O’Toole (Northampton Town)

March featured four goals from the dynamic midfielder. Having begun the season on the transfer list, O’Toole has returned to the fold to become a vital cog in Northampton’s promotion charge. He controls the midfield and is a threat going forward.

Kemar Roofe (Oxford United)

Difficult to categorise positionally and even harder to mark, the 23-year-old played just behind the main striker in March and caused havoc across the front line with his pace and trickery. He notched an assist and five goals, including a first career hat-trick, against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Matty Taylor (Bristol Rovers)

This is a third nomination this season for the striker who was in irresistible form with eight goals in seven games during March. His movement and ability to score all types of goals was illustrated by his perfect hat-trick in the 4-1 victory over Hartlepool United.

The winner will be announced on Friday.
