The race for the automatic promotion places continued after a drama-filled afternoon in Sky Bet League 2.
Oxford United and Accrington Stanley were both in contention to be promoted on the penultimate day of fixtures, but Bristol Rovers’ 4-1 victory at York City ensured the fight will go to the final weekend.Accrington maintained second position with a 1-0 win at Wycombe Wanderes, and are one point ahead of Oxford United - who beat Carlisle United - and two clear Rovers.
Plymouth Argyle failed to beat Cambridge United - drawing 2-2 - which means they are now out of the running for a top-three finish, and must settle for a Play-Off place.
They will be joined there by Portsmouth, who moved above the Pilgrims after a 2-0 triumph at Hartlepool, and AFC Wimbledon.
Northampton Town finally got their hands on the Sky Bet League 2 winners’ trophy - celebrating with their home fans at Sixfields after a 2-0 win over Luton Town.
Elsewhere, relegated Dagenham & Redbridge recorded a second success on the bounce by beating Crawley Town 3-0, and Barnet and Yeovil played out a seven-goal thriller at The Hive - with Harry Cornick stealing the spoils for the Glovers in the fifth minute of added time.
