The race for automatic promotion rolls on with three of the contenders victorious on Matchday 44.
Accrington Stanley, Oxford United and Bristol Rovers all picked up routine home wins, while fellow hopefuls Plymouth Argyle fell to a shock 3-2 defeat against relegated Dagenham & Redbridge.
Stanley's success was enough to relegate York City, who drop out of The Football League after a four-year stay. Newport County's 1-1 draw at Luton Town would have sent the Minstermen down even if they did manage to upset the odds at the Wham Stadium.
Wins for Portsmouth and AFC Wimbledon provided a major boost to their Play-Off aspirations. The pair do battle on Tuesday, where a point at Kingsmeadow would confirm Pompey's place in the top seven. A win for the Dons would ensure an extension to their season, but it seems unlikely that either will be caught despite the best efforts of Cambridge United, who gave themselves a glimmer of hope with a 2-1 win at Notts County.
Elsewhere, champions Northampton Town set a new club record of 22 Football League matches unbeaten after they drew 1-1 at Yeovil Town.
