Northampton Town clinched the Sky Bet League 2 title despite participating in a goalless draw with Play-off chasing Exeter City. The Cobblers were crowned champions after Luton Town defeated second-placed Oxford United 3-2 and Morecambe held fourth-placed Accrington Stanley to a 2-2 draw.
Bristol Rovers also benefitted from those results, and went back into the automatic promotion places after seeing off Yeovil Town 2-1 at the Memorial Stadium.
