15 April 2016

Northampton Town could clinch the Sky Bet League 2 title on Matchday 42, seven days after securing automatic promotion.

Chris Wilder's side are 12 points clear of Oxford United and will claim the title if they win at Exeter City, but only if the U's fail to beat Luton Town at the Kassam Stadium.

Here are the fixtures taking place in Sky Bet League 2 on Matchday 42 - all are 3pm kick-offs unless stated:

Saturday 16th April 2016

Accrington Stanley v Morecambe
AFC Wimbledon v Crawley Town
Bristol Rovers v Yeovil Town

Exeter City v Northampton Town
Hartlepool United v York City
Leyton Orient v Dagenham & Redbridge
Mansfield Town v Notts County (1pm)
Oxford United v Luton Town

Below the top two are a clutch of sides all looking to gain promotion from Sky Bet League 2. Two of which, Portsmouth and Plymouth Argyle, meet at Fratton Park with Paul Cook's side having the incentive of knowing they will go above their opponents with all three points.

Accrington Stanley, celebrating 10 years since their return to The Football League, play Lancashire rivals Morecambe at the Wham Stadium with Bristol Rovers looking to pounce on any dropped points with victory over Yeovil Town.

AFC Wimbledon will maintain their position in the Play-Offs if they beat Crawley Town at home, but should they slip up then Wycombe Wanderers and Exeter City are best placed to leapfrog them in the table.

The Chairboys are at home to Barnet, while Exeter will be looking to stop further Northampton celebrations at St. James Park.

Carlisle United travel to fellow Play-Off hopefuls Cambridge United with Leyton Orient, now under the management of Andy Hessenthaler, welcoming bottom of the league Dagenham & Redbridge to Brisbane Road.

The Daggers will be relegated if they lose and Stevenage beat Newport County.

The early kick-off takes place at Field Mill where Mansfield Town play fierce rivals Notts County. Elsewhere, Hartlepool United take on a York City side who are without a win in their last 11 league fixtures.
