The nominations for the Sky Bet League 1 Manager of the Month award for March.
Paul Heckingbottom (Barnsley)
This is a second successive nomination for the quiet man behind Barnsley’s pursuit of a Play-Off place. He has instantly earned his players’ trust and respect, as shown by 13 points won from six games with the help of four clean sheets.
Keith Hill (Rochdale)
Hill understands the ups and downs of the game better than most – a trait that allowed him to ignore a poor run and inspire four successive wins, including derby successes over Bury and Oldham Athletic, to lift Dale back into the promotion picture.
Kevin Keen (Colchester United)
Keen inherited a team which was leaking goals and falling towards Sky Bet League 2. The turnaround has not been easy but a win at promotion-chasing Bradford City and a draw against Wigan Athletic underpinned a month which saw 10 points gained from six games.
Jon Whitney (Walsall)
He may carry the convoluted title of performance coach turned interim head coach, but Whitney’s impact on promotion-chasing Walsall has been clear to witness. Three games in charge produced three wins, and togetherness has been restored.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
