Sky Bet Championship: Matchday 43 review

19 April 2016

Burnley salvaged a point against table-toppers Middlesbrough with a late goal on Matchday 43 in the Sky Bet Championship.

Jordan Rhodes put Boro in front and seemingly on their way to three points, but Michael Keane’s last-gasp leveller saw the Clarets earn a draw and stay second.

That result saw them fend off the challenge of Brighton & Hove Albion, who cruised to a 4-0 success over Queens Park Rangers.

Another enthralling match saw Derby County beat Bristol City 3-2, while Birmingham City and Preston North End played out an exciting 2-2 draw.

At the foot of the table, Charlton Athletic’s relegation was confirmed after their goalless draw at already-relegated Bolton Wanderers.

Milton Keynes Dons drew 0-0 at Sheffield Wednesday to maintain their Championship status for another few days at least.
