Wigan Athletic are dedicating their Sky Bet League 1 match against Fleetwood Town on Saturday 19th September to defender Juan Carlos Garcia, who is undergoing treatment for Leukaemia.Latics fans are being asked to submit their messages of support for Garcia with a selection to be published on wiganlatics.co.uk and displayed on LED boards at the DW Stadium on matchday.
“Juan Carlos is still a member of our team and we feel it’s a fitting gesture for us as a club, players, staff and supporters to send out a message of support to him,” Wigan manager Gary Caldwell said.

“He is being treated for a very serious, potentially life-threatening condition, he is doing well but is still receiving daily care.
“He is thousands of miles away from home and we have to remember the human being in all this. If we can help him a little bit by reminding him that everyone connected with Wigan Athletic sends their best wishes, then hopefully that will help give him a boost.”
Juan Carlos Garcia added: “Thank you to all the Latics fans. It is very moving for me to know the fans are doing this for me. I hope to see you soon.”
