Sky Bet League 2: Matchday 8 preview

17 September 2015

Newport County are the only Sky Bet League 2 team without a victory in 2015/16 and they face Dagenham & Redbridge in a full matchday 8 schedule.

At the other end of the spectrum, Portsmouth are the last remaining undefeated team in the division ahead of their game at Oxford United.

Here's a look at what's coming up at 3pm on Saturday in Sky Bet League 2:

Accrington Stanley v Exeter City
AFC Wimbledon v Notts County
Barnet v Stevenage
Crawley Town v Yeovil Town
Dagenham & Redbridge v Newport County
Hartlepool United v Cambridge United
Leyton Orient v Wycombe Wanderers
Luton Town v Mansfield Town
Morecambe v Northampton Town
Oxford United v Portsmouth
Plymouth Argyle v Bristol Rovers
York City v Carlisle United

Terry Butcher's Newport visit Dagenham after suffering six successive defeats, with their only point so far coming in a 2-2 draw with Stevenage on matchday 2.

Paul Cook's unbeaten Portsmouth have won four of seven outings to date this term and come up against the U's, who they've not lost to in four meetings, since a 4-1 drubbing in August 2013.

Northampton Town were the first team to inflict defeat on Oxford last time out, and they go to Morecambe this weekend with Jim Bentley's men winning their most recent three games to move up to fifth.

But the Shrimpers have only ever got the better of the Cobblers once in 12 meetings; a 2-0 victory in August 2011.

Exeter City are one place below Morecambe in sixth after back-to-back victories, and they will fancy their chances at Accrington Stanley this weekend, despite Stanley being undefeated in five.

The Grecians have scored three goals in all of their last three visits to Accrington, winning each time, and they've only lost once in eight visits to the Lancashire club.
