Sky Bet League 1: Matchday 9 review

26 September 2015

Burton Albion opened up a three-point gap at the summit of Sky Bet League 1 after a last-gasp 2-1 victory over Chesterfield.

The Brewers fell behind after just two minutes when Sam Hird headed in for the home side, but Stuart Beavon equalised immediately after the restart, before substitute Jerome Binnom-Williams stole all three points for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's men in second-half stoppage time.

Graham Westley made a winning start to his managerial reign at Peterborough United, triumphing 2-0 on the road at Bradford City courtesy of goals from Lee Angol and Chris Forrester.

Elsewhere, there were victories for Bury, Millwall, Barnsley and Sheffield United, who now all occupy places in the top half of the table.
