That result moved Blackpool off the foot of the division, which is now propped up by Crewe Alexandra, who were defeated 2-1 by Southend United.
At the other end, Burton Albion’s lead was cut to one point after they drew 0-0 with Sheffield United - Tuesday's only goalless game in The Football League.
Second-placed Walsall capitalised by triumphing 1-0 at Scunthorpe United, and Gillingham, who are third, thumped Fleetwood Town 5-1.
Bury notched their fifth successive victory in a 3-2 thriller at Peterborough United, who had Erhun Oztumer sent off.
