The nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award for August.Steve Bruce (Hull City)
Remodelling a squad following relegation is never easy, but Bruce has done it seamlessly. His calm experience shone through as his team picked up 10 points from five games in August, which included a perfect record at home.
Chris Hughton (Brighton & Hove Albion)
It was a stellar month for Hughton's side with 13 points gained from five games. He has reverted to a 4-4-2 system for this season, but his most telling impact has been in instilling a work ethic and team spirit that has his men playing as one again.
Mick McCarthy (Ipswich Town)
McCarthy's shrewd acquisition of young wingers Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Ryan Fraser has added an exciting attacking dimension to a side which reached the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs last term. Three wins and a draw in August saw Ipswich into the top three.
Chris Ramsey (Queens Park Rangers)
Ramsey is quietly establishing himself at Loftus Road, fashioning his side in his own hard-working image and restoring belief. The manager didn’t panic after an awkward start, and led his side to three successive wins for a 10-point haul in August.
The winners will be announced on Friday.
