“It was an emphatic win against the league leaders,” Tisdale told the club's official website.
“I set the players the task of challenging and defending against a very attacking team, and we took our chances. I have to be very encouraged by the way my team defended and did what we had to do."
Two goals in each half sealed the three points for the Grecians, and the 42-year-old boss added: “When you score goals at regular intervals during a game, it just keeps the wheels turning.
“We scored at good times, and I must praise the team for being so clinical. That just shows what you get when you put in a good, disciplined performance.
“Now I think we're into our stride. There's still a long way to go, but I'm sure the players will enjoy this.”
