Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Round 1 review

1 September 2015

Plymouth Argyle came from two goals down to beat AFC Wimbledon 3-2 in the stand-out Round 1 game of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Ade Azeez and Lyle Taylor struck first-half goals for the hosts but Jake Jervis, Ryan Brunt and Carl McHugh were on target as Derek Adams’ Pilgrims fought back to advance.

Northampton Town also won 3-2 with Marc Richards scoring the decisive goal at Sixfields against Colchester United.
