Manager Jim Bentley believes the potential that his Morecambe side possess is ‘scary'.The Shrimps are currently in sixth place in the Sky Bet League 2 table after a bright start, but Bentley says that there is more to come from the group.
“I think we’re the third leading goal scorers in the league. We’ve just got to keep going,” he told Morecambe’s official site. “It’s entertaining but what’s scary is I think we’ve got more in our locker.
“We can tighten up at the back but we’ve been working extremely hard on creating goals and maybe we’re over-committing at times. You’ve got to get the balance right.”
In their most recent outing, Morecambe came from 2-0 down against Yeovil Town to claim the three points courtesy of a 4-2 success.

It was a performance that pleased Bentley, who felt his side’s persistence after Yeovil’s Shaun Jeffers was sent off was very credible.
“I was disappointed with how we started the game and the goals we conceded,” he added.
“But we’ve got goals and creativity in the side and we managed the game well in the second half.
“We were patient, we moved the ball round, we dictated the play and we made better decisions than in the first half and ran out worthy winners in the end. The key was being patient.”
