It was a good away day performance – Burton Albion skipper John Mousinho

21 September 2015

Burton Albion skipper John Mousinho says their performance at Swindon Town was planned, after the Brewers moved to the summit of Sky Bet League 1 with a 1-0 victory.

Stuart Beavon was the man on target for the Brewers, when he finished superbly following Swindon's failure to clear a set-piece.

The result put Burton top with 18 points from eight games, in what is their first ever season in Sky Bet League 1.

"Sometimes you come away from home and the home side make it quite difficult,” Mousinho, who made his 50th league start for Burton at the County Ground, said to the club's official website.

"We didn't let them have the ball because we know they like to play a lot and pass a lot.

"We made ourselves very hard to break down, we did that and caught them on the counter.

"We scored from a set piece. It was a good away day performance and one that we planned."
