History favours the hosts - Brighton & Hove Albion v Hull City

11 September 2015

A blockbuster match in the Sky Bet Championship this weekend sees the top two lock horns, with Brighton & Hove Albion hosting Hull City.

The table-topping Seagulls notched 13 points in an unbeaten opening month of the season to sit at the summit, while Hull amassed 10 points in their opening five games.

Six away wins in history

As well as being undefeated so far, Brighton go into the game with history firmly in their favour.

They lead the historical head-to-head against Hull 21-14, alongside 13 draws, and the visiting team has only triumphed six times in 48 encounters since the first meeting in November 1959.

On top of that, the Tigers are yet to triumph away this season – they have won one of their last 11 on the road – and Chris Hughton's side have ran out 1-0 victors in both of their games at the Amex in 2015/16.

Remembering the victims of the Shoreham air disaster

Saturday's game at the Amex Stadium is being dedicated to the memory of the 11 people who lost their lives in last month's Shoreham air disaster.

There will be a minute's applause ahead of kick-off, and supporters in attendance will join together to pay tribute to Matt Grimstone, Jacob Schilt, and all those lost in the disaster.
