Gary Bowyer confident in his Blackburn Rovers side ahead of trip to Queens Park Rangers

16 September 2015

Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer says he is pleased with his squad's approach to games this season, despite them failing to win in the Sky Bet Championship so far.

Rovers lost 2-1 to Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday, but had the better of the possession and more shots on target during the game.

But Bowyer insists that a first win of the season is on its way, as his side prepare to take on Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday night.

"The way that we finished in the second half against Fulham, the players came in with loads of positives to take into the game on Wednesday," Bowyer told Rovers Player.

"Overall we were the dominant team and the feedback that we had, not just from people inside the club but outside the club, about our performance was very good.

"But we know we've got to get a win - it is as simple as that.

"We've created something like 70-odd chances in four games, so we've got to keep that belief and that confidence and be a little bit more ruthless and take our chances.

"QPR have come down from the Premier League, improved their squad and we are aware of the challenge that lies ahead.

"We've just got to go with the positive mindset that we had on Sunday and keep the belief going and do everything that we possibly can to get that first win."
