Goals from Ryan Hall, Paul Benson and Alex Lawless eased the Hatters to the victory at Kenilworth Road.
Final Third Development League Cup - South Group B
Swindon Town got off to the perfect start in South Group B of the Final Third Development League by seeing off Plymouth Argyle 4-1.
Jon Obika (2), Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill and an own goal secured a comfortable win for the Robins, while Louis Rooney replied for the Pilgrims.
Final Third Development League Cup - North Group A
Bradford City also hit four goals, in North Group A, to ease past Morecambe 4-0.
The Bantams won the tie with two goals in each half – Nathan Clarke, Steven Davies (2) and Luke James were on target.
Final Third Development League Cup - North Group C
A goal-filled encounter in North Group C saw Port Vale come out on top 6-3.
Billy Reeves put Vale ahead but the experienced Grant Holt soon had the Latics level, with the scores tied at the break.
The visitors then ran riot in the second half, with JJ Hooper, Chris Birchall (2), Ryan Lloyd and Colin Daniel making it 6-1, before Holt and Louis Robles netted consolation goals for hosts Wigan.
Final Third Development League Cup - North Group D
Chesterfield ran out 3-1 winners at Scunthorpe United in North Group D.
Rai Simons hit a brace for the Spireites, with Dion Donohue scoring the other. Dave Syers was the man on the scoresheet for the Iron.
