Plymouth Argyle and Bristol Rovers go head-to-head in Sky Bet League 2 this weekend, in what will be the 95th meeting between the pair.
The first ever clash between the two sides came way back in 1921, and Saturday's hosts have the historical edge.Head-to-head record
Plymouth Argyle wins - 36
Bristol Rovers wins - 30
Draws - 28
The Pilgrims are in good form with five wins from seven fixtures seeing them up to second in the division, while Rovers' return to The Football League has produced a mixed bag of results - three wins and four defeats leave them 15th ahead of their trip to Home Park.
Plymouth will be buoyed further by their recent record against the Gas, having not lost in Devon since a League Cup tie in August 2000, where the Pirates prevailed 2-1.
Jake Jervis and Graham Carey have both been among the goals this season, and whenever either of the pair have scored, the Pilgrims have gone to secure the maximum three-point haul.
As for Rovers, they will look to their recent results on the road for inspiration. Prior to defeat at Leyton Orient a fortnight ago, Darrell Clarke's men had built up an unbeaten away record which lasted almost a year.
