When Exeter City travel to Accrington Stanley on Saturday, they will do so with the opportunity to notch a fourth successive away day success against the Lancashire outfit.
In August 2012, the Grecians won 3-0 at Stanley, before two 3-2 wins at the same venue in the following two seasons, 2013/14 and 2014/15.In all, Exeter have only once left Stanley without any points, and that came in March 2009 when they were defeated 2-1. Overall, they've won six, drew one and lost one in their eight visits.
A thorn in Accrington's defence
One man who particularly enjoys Accrington away is Exeter City striker Tom Nichols, who has found the net in their last two wins at Stanley.
He bagged a brace after just 11 minutes in their December 2013 clash, before scoring in the 49th minute of their November 2014 meeting last season.
The Grecians' striker has three goals to his name so far this term.
This season...
Exeter are the higher-ranked of the two sides and sit sixth in Sky Bet League 2 with 13 points from seven games. They've won their most recent two, 4-0 against Leyton Orient and 1-0 against Hartlepool United.
John Coleman's Stanley are 10th in the standings with a record of two wins, four draws and one defeat so far. Their only loss came on Matchday 2 so they're unbeaten in five, having won 1-0 at Bristol Rovers last time out.
