Sky Bet League 2: Matchday 15 review

24 October 2015

Plymouth Argyle extended their lead at the top of Sky Bet League 2 courtesy of a stoppage-time winner against Luton Town.

The match looked all set to end in a draw, but Ryan Brunt's late goal snatched all three points against the ten-man Hatters.

Portsmouth and Oxford both lost ground on the Pilgrims, with Pompey playing out a goalless stalemate with Mansfield and Michael Appleton's men slipping to their first home defeat of the season - 3-2 against Barnet.

Northampton took advantage of Mansfield's draw to climb into fourth after they came back to defeat Stevenage, while Leyton Orient recorded a 1-0 win at Morecambe in the battle between sixth and seventh.

Accrington, Crawley, Cambridge and Wimbledon all picked up three points, while Newport County's emphatic 4-1 win at Bristol Rovers moved them out of the relegation zone, which is now occupied by Yeovil and Dagenham - who both suffered defeat in Matchday 15.
