Sky Bet League 2: Matchday 11 review

3 October 2015

Plymouth Argyle are the new Sky Bet League 2 leaders after they overcame Crawley Town 2-1.

It's the fourth time in eight days that the lead in the division has changed hands, and it was Hiram Boateng's 89th-minute winner which settled matters at Home Park.

Leyton Orient, Portsmouth and Wycombe Wanderers were the three previous table-toppers, and they produced a mixed bag of results on Matchday 11.

Orient defeated Notts County 3-1, Portsmouth shared a goalless stalemate with Yeovil Town, and Wycombe slipped to a 3-2 defeat at home to Northampton Town.

John Sheridan's first game in charge of Newport County resulted in a point, with the Exiles drawing 1-1 with Exeter City, and there was a sensational comeback from Mansfield Town, who fought back from 3-1 down to take all three points at Dagenham & Redbridge.

There were also wins for Oxford United, AFC Wimbledon, Luton Town and Carlisle United, while York City and Cambridge United drew 2-2 at Bootham Crescent.
