The nominations for the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month award for September.Tom Bradshaw (Walsall)
In the month in which Walsall impressed Jose Mourinho, 23-year-old Bradshaw led the line with his usual intelligence and contributed three goals. A brilliant brace in the 2-0 win over Doncaster Rovers included an impudent inch-perfect chip.
Leon Clarke (Bury)
Now at the 16th club of his nomadic career, 30-year-old Clarke has made a stunning impact at Gigg Lane, bringing others into play with his touch and movement as well as scoring four goals in five games to lift Bury into the Sky Bet League 1 Play-Off places.
Jamie Jones (Colchester United)
To make one match-winning penalty save is impressive enough, but to make two in five days is worthy of recognition. As well as his heroics against Sheffield United and Gillingham, Jones also brought stability to the defence in his first month in Essex.
Peter Vincenti (Rochdale)
Vincenti tapped into the richest goalscoring form of his career, netting in four separate games and over half of his side’s goals in the month. His support play from midfield, timing his runs into the box to perfection, has become vital to Rochdale.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
