Walsall are the new Sky Bet League 1 leaders after they beat previous table-toppers Burton Albion 2-0.
In what was their first ever competitive meeting with Burton, the Saddlers knew a victory would lift them above their opponents and they secured the result with goals from Liam Kinsella and Tom Bradshaw.In an action-packed day, a number of clubs fought back to pick up points, including Wigan Athletic, Scunthorpe United and Shrewsbury Town.
The Latics were 2-0 down at Bury but drew 2-2, Scunthorpe won for the first time on the road with a 4-2 success at Oldham Athletic, and Shrewsbury also won by that scoreline, in the result of the day.

The Shrews were 2-0 behind against the in-form Colchester United at half-time but turned it around in style to win 4-2.
Elsewhere, Steven Pressley’s first game as Fleetwood Town manager didn’t go to plan, with the manager’s former employers Coventry City scoring a late goal to triumph 1-0 at Highbury.
