Sky Bet Championship: Matchday 12 preview

20 October 2015

It's a quick turnaround in the Sky Bet Championship with a full schedule of midweek matches to be played over Tuesday and Wednesday.

Neil Redfearn makes his home bow as Rotherham United boss when the Millers host Reading on Tuesday, while his former employers, Leeds United, will have their first match under Steve Evans at Fulham on Wednesday night.

Here are the midweek fixtures in the Sky Bet Championship (7:45pm kick-off unless stated):

Tuesday 20th October

Bolton Wanderers v Birmingham City (8:00pm)
Brighton & Hove Albion v Bristol City
Cardiff City v Middlesbrough
Charlton Athletic v Preston North End
Huddersfield Town v Milton Keynes Dons
Hull City v Ipswich Town
Nottingham Forest v Burnley
Queens Park Rangers v Sheffield Wednesday
Rotherham v Reading

Wednesday 21st October

Blackburn Rovers v Derby County
Fulham v Leeds United
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Brentford

Neil Redfearn's dugout debut with Rotherham ended in defeat at Brentford on Saturday, but he leads his side out at the AESSEAL New York Stadium for the first time against an in-form Reading, and an in-form Nick Blackman - the striker has hit nine goals in nine games after his winner against Charlton last time out.

Huddersfield play Milton Keynes Dons for the first time since the 2011/12 Sky Bet League 1 Play-Offs, which saw the Terriers advance and seal promotion at Wembley, while Preston, who experienced that winning feeling last term, travel to Charlton.

Bristol City moved off the bottom with three points in Matchday 11, but they face a tricky trip to Brighton - the only unbeaten team in The Football League.

Chris Hughton's men kept their run going courtesy of a win at Leeds in their last outing, and United boss Uwe Rosler lost his job at Elland Road shortly after.

Steve Evans is now the man in charge and his first game is one of three matches on Wednesday night - they go to Fulham, while Blackburn host Derby, and Wolves welcome Brentford to Molineux.
