Sky Bet Championship: Matchday 10 review

4 October 2015

Managerless Rotherham United kicked things off in the Sky Bet Championship on Friday night when they played host to Burnley.

However, there was to be no honeymoon period for the Millers' caretaker boss Eric Black, as the Clarets ran out 2-1 winners.

On Saturday lunchtime, Wolverhampton Wanderers eased to a 3-0 success over Huddersfield Town, with Benik Afobe netting twice at Molineux.

In the 3pm kick-offs, Reading took just 15 seconds to find a way past Middlesbrough, who had won five on the spin prior to their trip to the Madejski Stadium. Danny Williams got the Royals off to a flying start, and a Nick Blackman penalty ensured the home side took all three points.

Queens Park Rangers trailed Bolton Wanderers 2-0 at Loftus Road, but fought back to take all three points thanks to a last-gasp winner from Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

Elsewhere, there were wins for Blackburn Rovers, Derby County, Birmingham City, Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday, while Brighton & Hove Albion remain The Football League's only unbeaten team after sharing the spoils with Cardiff City.

On Sunday, Charlton Athletic came back from 2-0 down to snatch a point in a London derby against Fulham.
