Neil Redfearn confirmed as new Rotherham United first team manager

Rotherham United have announced Neil Redfearn as the club's new first team manager.

Redfearn replaces Steve Evans at the AESSEAL New York Stadium and takes over with the club 21st and only outside the relegation zone on goal difference.

The club confirmed the appointment on their official website on Friday, and Redfearn will be officially unveiled on Monday afternoon.

The 50-year-old has previous experience of managing in the Sky Bet Championship from his recent spell at Leeds United, and his first assignment as Millers boss is a trip to Brentford after the international break.
