Live on Sky Sports: Rotherham United v Burnley – life without Steve Evans

2 October 2015

The Sky Bet Championship action gets under way on Friday night, with managerless Rotherham United hosting Burnley in a match to be screened live on Sky Sports.

Despite back-to-back victories, the Millers parted company with Steve Evans in midweek with the club sitting 20th in the division.

Rotherham were rooted to the bottom of the division prior to those two wins, and Eric Black is the man tasked with extending that run when Burnley visit the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Following four straight successes, Sean Dyche's men are now two without a win after a goalless draw at Derby and a home defeat to Reading last time out.

However, Burnley remain seventh on 15 points - a total shared by the teams between third and eighth - so three points here would catapult them just behind the top two, until Saturday evening at least.

The form book doesn't favour the Clarets though, who have not won at Rotherham since January 1993. Eight games have gone by since then, with four Rotherham wins and a further four draws.

Sky Sports' coverage of Rotherham v Burnley begins at 7pm, and we will be providing match updates on our live Twitter feed, via @SkyBetChamp.
