Two recent winners at the annual Football League Awards, Danny Ings and Dele Alli, have received their first senior call-ups to the England national team.
Ings, now at Liverpool, won the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year award for the 2013/14 season, following a prolific campaign for Burnley. The then-Clarets striker hit 26 goals in all competitions as Sean Dyche's men achieved promotion to the Premier League.Read more: Danny Ings named Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year
The rise of Alli has been another remarkable story, with the midfielder picking up the Football League Young Player of the Year award back in April.
Alli made his debut for Milton Keynes Dons at 16, and was a key player for the club en route to their promotion to the Sky Bet Championship last term.
After an impressive start to the 2014/15 campaign, the teenager was signed by Tottenham Hotspur in January. The 19-year-old then returned to stadiummk for the remainder of the season on loan, and his 16 goals for the free-scoring Dons helped them seal their passage from Sky Bet League 1 on the final day.
