Final Third Development League Digest

The latest round of Final Third Development League action saw wins for Notts County, Scunthorpe United, Bournemouth, Wrexham and Burton Albion.

Final Third Development League East Division

Notts County moved top of the East Division and stretched their goal difference advantage with an emphatic 7-0 win over Rotherham United.

Colby Bishop and Filip Valencic secured a brace each, while Genaro Snijders, Jimmy Spencer and Ronan Murray were also on target in the rout.

Scunthorpe United ensured Gateshead remain rooted to the bottom with a 3-2 victory on Tyneside.

Two strikes from forward Luke Williams and a goal from defender Jordan Clark put the Iron out of sight after 50 minutes, although the hosts did pull back two through Matty Pattison and a Baker Riley own goal.

Final Third Development League South Division

AFC Bournemouth registered their first win of the campaign after netting late to beat Leyton Orient 2-1.

Josh O’Hanlon struck in the final minute of normal time, after Alessandro Cannataro had cancelled out Lloyd James’ opener for the O's.

Luton Town and Southend United remain joint-second in the South Division table, following their 1-1 draw at Kenilworth Road.

Danny Green's second-half free-kick earned the Hatters a point after Southend striker Jason Williams' put his side in front on 13 minutes.

Final Third Development League West Division

Wrexham remain top of the pile in the West Division courtesy of their 2-1 win at Morecambe.

James Gray scored a brace either side of Craig Carney's goal for the Shrimps, making it two wins from four this season for the Welsh side.

Burton Albion are hot on Wrexham's heels, and they stay just behind them on goal difference after beating Port Vale 3-2.
