Darren Ferguson is focused on his Doncaster Rovers side picking up three points as they go to his former employers Peterborough United in Sky Bet League 1 this weekend.
Ferguson departed Peterborough in February, in what was his second spell managing the club, and then replaced Paul Dickov at Rovers earlier this month.Read more: Doncaster Rovers targeting Sky Bet Championship after Darren Ferguson appointment
His first game in the Doncaster dugout resulted in a 2-1 win at Shrewsbury Town in midweek and he's eyeing another three points against the Posh, who he guided to three promotions and a Johnstone's Paint Trophy success during his time in charge.
“It will be nice to go back,” Ferguson told Rovers' official website.
“I haven’t had much time to think about it to be honest as I’m organising the team.
“They [Peterborough] are scoring and conceding a lot of goals - I remember that from my time there - so they look an entertaining team but we'll have to be disciplined to a degree against them.
“I know quite a few of the players. Hopefully I get a good reception but that’s not going to be my main priority. My main priority is to go back and get three points.
“I always go in to games respectful of the opposition and Saturday will be no different, it’s not about me, it’s about us and Doncaster getting three points and it’s as simple as that.”
Rovers moved out of the relegation zone following their midweek win, to sit 20th, while Posh are 13th after losing to Wigan Athletic last time out.
