Colchester United v Bury - Sky Bet League 1 form teams face off

2 October 2015

Colchester United and Bury, the two in-form teams in Sky Bet League 1, go head-to-head at the Weston Homes Community Stadium this weekend.

The home side, who survived relegation on the final day of the 2014/15 season, made another stuttering start to this campaign.

However, Tony Humes' charges are now unbeaten in six games, with the last four of those producing a maximum points return.

The impressive form of George Moncur and recent additions Callum Harriott and Marvin Sordell, has played a major part in a perfect September for the U's - the trio were responsible for eight of the nine goals scored by the club last month.

Bury have gone one better, however, having secured five consecutive victories, and they are unbeaten in seven Sky Bet League 1 outings.

That form has catapulted the Shakers, who were promoted from Sky Bet League 2 last term, up to fourth place in the division.

At least one winning run will come to an end on Saturday, but a share of the spoils could see both teams extend their recent unbeaten streaks.
