Sky Bet League 1: Matchday 13 review

17 October 2015

Steven Pressley guided Fleetwood Town to a first win under his reign to topple former leaders Burton Albion 4-0.

The result moves the Cod Army out of the Sky Bet League 1 relegation zone, after a convincing display that produced a brace from Bobby Grant and goals from Jamie Proctor and Ash Hunter.

With Burton losing, Walsall had the chance to extend their lead at the summit, but were also beaten. They fell 2-1 at home to Chesterfield, after goals from Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Ian Evatt, leaving Gillingham to take advantage and move to the top - Rory Donnelly's late goal defeating Crewe Alexandra 1-0.

Other notable scorelines included Wigan Athletic's 5-0 demolition of Colchester United, Southend United's fifth win in six games against Barnsley and Gillingham's late 1-0 triumph at Crewe Alexandra, which ensures the top the table after 13 rounds of action.
