Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis singled out Ryan Lowe after his side incredibly came back from 2-0 down to defeat Colchester United 3-2 in Sky Bet League 1.The U's took the lead just before half-time through Callum Harriot and that was doubled early in the second half after George Moncur finished from close range.
However, the Alex pulled one back on the hour mark courtesy of Ryan Colclough, before Lowe assisted Marcus Haber to equalise. Lowe then put Crewe ahead with his 18th goal for the club, on what was his second debut.
The result failed to lift the Railwaymen off the foot of the table, but moved them to within three points of safety.
Boss Davis was quick to heap praise on Lowe, who returned to Crewe after making 74 appearances for the club between 2006 and 2008.

"It was cruel on them to be 2-0 down but they kept going and bringing Lowey [Ryan Lowe] on helped us,” he told crewealex.net.
“Ryan was excellent and when he has the ball at his feet he can do some magical things.
"There is no-one better than Ryan Lowe going through in stoppage time. Billy Bingham put him through and when it bounced we thought he would do exactly what he did.
“It was an excellent finish and that is what he is. He is a goalscorer. He brings that quality and when you bring a sub on you want him to have that impact. He has made one for Marcus and I was delighted he scored and then scored a terrific winner.
"What Ryan needs is games, he hasn't played that much and had a calf injury but he is a great professional and a great lad to have in the dressing room and out there for us. If he can play in that vein of form then we know he is going to be a real asset for us.”
