Sky Sports announce further fixtures for TV coverage in 2016

11 November 2015

Sky Sports have announced a further five matches to be screened live on TV in January, as their Football League coverage continues into 2016.

Two Sky Bet Championship games have already been announced for New Year's Day coverage, and now the latest batch of fixtures have been released - with more selections due to be made.

There will be Thursday night football in Sky Bet League 1 when Wigan Athletic face Gillingham on 7th January, while another four Championship games have been added to an action-packed first month of the year.

Brentford will host Burnley under the Griffin Park lights on Friday 15th January in front of the cameras, while Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United will meet in a televised Yorkshire derby the following lunchtime.

Queens Park Rangers welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Loftus Road seven days later, and two promotion hopefuls - Burnley and Derby County - will lock horns on Monday 25th January in a 7:45pm kick-off.
