The nominations for the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month award for October.
Nicky Adams (Northampton Town)In a month of goals in Sky Bet League 2, Adams was king of the assists, directly setting up seven of his side’s 13 goals. Hard work from his wide position complimented a steady supply of quality crosses and passes.
Shaun Miller (Morecambe)
Intent on making up for time lost to injury, Miller's lob against Bristol Rovers was his first goal in nearly a year. Highlighted by a 30-yard dipping volley in the 5-2 win at AFC Wimbledon, he scored six in five October games alone.
Curtis Nelson (Plymouth Argyle)
A veteran of 200 games at just 22, the Argyle captain superbly marshalled a defence which conceded just three goals in six games. Athletic, mobile and strong in the air, his comfort on the ball helped to set a platform for his team.
Matty Taylor (Bristol Rovers)
After a career spent in non-league, the 25-year-old has adapted superbly to Football League life, bringing team-mates into play and scoring vital goals. His three goals in five games included late winners at Mansfield Town and Cambridge United.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
