Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month nominations - October

4 November 2015

The nominations for the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month award for October.

Adam Armstrong (Coventry City)

Armstrong continues to impress with his composure. The 18-year-old's willingness to take shots early brought two goals in the 3-0 win over Shrewsbury Town, while his dancing feet and sublime turn accounted for the second of his pair against Peterborough United.

Reece Burke (Bradford City)

Mature beyond his years, Burke has settled instantly in West Yorkshire, bringing an assurance to a Bradford defence which conceded just three goals in five games. The 19-year-old is intelligent and pacy with an uncanny calmness.

Aiden O’Brien (Millwall)

O'Brien opened his bag of mercurial tricks in October for Millwall. Able to go past defenders with ease, the young Irishman scored three goals while switching positions between attack and the wing.

Jon Taylor (Peterborough United)

In a Posh side which scored 16 goals in six games, Taylor stood out for his energy as much as the quality of his long-range shooting. Two delightful goals against Millwall and another at Swindon Town complimented his ball-carrying ability.

The winner will be announced on Friday.
