The former Borussia Dortmund coach won't be in the dugout for the televised Sky Bet Championship derby, though, with Academy Manager Mark Lillis on first-team duties this weekend for Town.
“Have no regrets”
Lillis certainly isn't taking his role lightly, and has urged the Huddersfield players to focus on what's at hand; a big league game against their rivals.
He told htafc.com: “My philosophy is never that I’m caretaker manager. I am the manager of this football club on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
“If you say that to the players, there’s no comeback to that. They know that I mean business; we’re in it together. That’s the way I manage this caretaker role.
“It [the game] is a fantastic opportunity [for the players], especially as the new Head Coach is watching.
“Someone can be a hero. We’ve got to make sure everyone will be focused for the game, especially the starting 11 - but the subs are so important.
“As a young or a senior player, these are great games to play in. You’ve got to have no regrets at the end of it, whatever the result.”
