Live on Sky Sports: Charlton Athletic v Ipswich Town - Addicks eyeing third win on the spin

27 November 2015

Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship action gets under way with Charlton Athletic hosting Ipswich Town at 12:30pm, and it’s live on Sky Sports.

After replacing Guy Luzon, Charlton have started to find form under interim manager Karel Fraeye. The Addicks have won two and lost two under his guidance, but the two victories have come in their most recent outings, ending a streak of 12 matches without a win.

Speaking ahead of the game, Fraeye has revealed that he’s seen an increased impetus return to training after their last couple of wins.

“We’re very pleased with how we’ve played, but it’s not only the system - it’s confidence,” he told cafc.co.uk.

“Confidence is always key, you can play whatever system but it’s about what the players do with the ball. We are more confident now and we are becoming a better team.

“We’ve seen a winning momentum return in training and with the way that the players are talking to each other. We all want that third win in a row, absolutely.”

Their opponents, Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich, are on a good run themselves - unbeaten in five, winning two of those - and they've scored nine times over their last three games.

The Tractor Boys are unbeaten in five against Charlton, who haven't beat Ipswich at home since 2008. The last time these two met at The Valley in front of the Sky Sports cameras, Ipswich stole it with a goal at the death from Noel Hunt.
