Peterborough United were involved in another high-scoring encounter when they edged Barnsley 3-2 on Tuesday, in the latest prolific showing in front of goal.Lee Angol, Miles Addison and Marcus Maddison were all on the scoresheet for Posh, who moved up to seventh in the Sky Bet League 1 table with a third consecutive victory – and a fourth in all competitions.
Goals, at either end, have been in large supply during manager Graham Westley's tenure to date, with 48 hitting the back of the net in games involving Peterborough under him.
Westley has been in charge for 11 matches, and 30 of those goals have been scored by Posh. It shows good progress under the former Stevenage boss, considering it took them 26 games to net that amount before his arrival.
Posh haven't failed to score in a League game since the opening day of the season - in a 2-0 defeat to Rochdale - and are out on their own as The Football League's highest goalscorers this term, with 42 goals to their name.
Despite their latest victory over Barnsley on Matchday 19, Westley conceded it was as bad as his side had played under him.
Peterborough go to Scunthorpe United on Saturday, and will need to bring goals yet again, to a place where they've not registered three points since 1998.
